National Film Development Corporation of India

 

The National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) is a Central Government public sector organisation under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

It was established in 1975.

NFDC promotes and develops Indian cinema, including support for quality films, film production, international promotion and film-related activities.

Several government film organisations have been brought together under NFDC, including the former Films Division, Children's Films Society India, National Film Archive of India and Directorate of Film Festivals.
