Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana- Eligibility, Benefits and ESIC
ABVKY is an unemployment relief scheme implemented by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
It provides cash relief to eligible insured persons who become unemployed.
In July 2026, ESIC extended the scheme from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
An insured person must generally:
Have been in insurable employment for at least 12 months immediately before unemployment.
Have contributed for at least 78 days in one completed contribution period in the preceding 12 months.
Unemployment should not result from circumstances such as misconduct, lockout or superannuation.
