Caridina sharmai -New Freshwater Shrimp Species

 

Caridina sharmai is a newly described freshwater shrimp species.

It was discovered in the Gomti River near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, during surveys conducted in 2023–24.

It belongs to the genus Caridina, a group of freshwater shrimps.
