Kamlang Tiger Reserve

Important Geography

The Kamlang River flows through the sanctuary and joins the Brahmaputra.

Ecological Importance

It shares a boundary with:

  • Namdapha Tiger Reserve
  • Other reserve forests

This creates a relatively contiguous landscape for wildlife.

Tiger Reserve Status

  • Declared tiger reserve in 2016
  • Located in one of India's biodiversity-rich northeastern landscapes.
