Kusha Missile - DRDO Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile
Kusha is India's indigenous Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LR-SAM) system being developed by DRDO.
Its purpose is to neutralise a variety of aerial threats.
In July 2026, DRDO conducted the maiden flight test of Kusha from APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast against an electronic target simulating a high-speed, high-altitude aerial threat.
