The project is expected to irrigate approximately 90,000 hectares across:

Power generation is reported in the range of roughly 186–212 MW.

Strategic Importance

The project is also significant because of its location near the international border and India's efforts to optimise utilisation of waters of the eastern rivers under the Indus Waters Treaty framework.
