International Cheetah Day 2025 – December 4

Observed annually to raise awareness about cheetahs, the fastest land animals, and their endangered status. The day commemorates Khayam, a cheetah reared by Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of CCF.

Population: About 7,100 in the wild globally; 32 in India (21 born in country).
