Bharat Forge to establish India’s 1st private marine gas turbine (MGT) facility (Visakhapatnam, AP)
What: Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL) signed MoU with Andhra Pradesh govt to set up an 80‑acre MGT Repair, Overhaul & Indigenous Development Complex in Visakhapatnam (AP Defence Manufacturing Corridor); co‑located with Naval Dockyard and ENC HQ.
Phases: Phase 1 — repair & overhaul with 72‑hour turnaround, hot‑section restoration; Phase 2 — MGT development & assembly hall and hot test cell; includes R&D and testing hub for indigenous turbine development.
