239th Meeting of CBT–EPF

Why in News?

The Central Board of Trustees (CBT) of the Employees' Provident Fund met under the chairmanship of Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

Major Decisions

• EPF interest rate retained at 8.25% for FY 2025–26.
• Approved a One-Time Amnesty Scheme for exempted establishments.
• Approved notification of:
  • EPF Scheme, 2026
  • Employees Pension Scheme (EPS), 2026
  • Employees Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI), 2026
• Pilot project for automatic settlement of dormant EPF accounts with balances up to ₹1,000.
• Approved IBPS for EPFO recruitment examinations.
