Sub-Orbital Launch Vehicle for Experiments

Purpose

To test:

• Crew Module deceleration

• Parachute deployment

• Safe recovery

• Crew safety systems for Gaganyaan

Important Technical Fact

SOLVE simulates deceleration at approximately 10–17 km altitude.

Significance

• Reduces technical risks

• Allows repeated testing

• Validates crew safety technologies

• Supports India's human spaceflight programme.
