 MoFPI and NIFTEM, Thanjavur Launch Pilot Short-Term Skill Training Programme

• Who: Ministry of Food Processing Industries + National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur, TN.[NIFTEM][MoFPI]
• Where: ITC-ICML facility at Trichy, TN. Inaugurated by Prof V. Palanimuthu [Director NIFTEM Thanjavur] and Surjeet Singh Roria [GM & Head ITC-ICML].
• Programme: Short-Term Skill Training Programme [STSTP] on Assistant Baking Technician [NSQF Level 3] Certificate Programme at ITC-Trichy.
• Objective: Upskill youth in food processing, manufacturing, allied sectors, enhancing employability and entrepreneurship.
• Features:
  • Nationally recognised certifications aligned with NSQF.
  • Industry-Integrated Training [IIT] from 7 July to 20 Aug 2026.
  • Inaugural batch 18 trainees, assured employment at ITC Ltd.
