 ICC Approves New Formats for Men's ODI and T20 World Cups

• Approved by: ICC during annual Board meetings in Edinburgh, Scotland.
• ODI Format from 2027: 14-team, 4-stage format - Preliminary Round [12th-14th ranked], two groups of six, Super 7 replacing Super Six, knockout. Top 3 from each group + best 4th placed advance. Total matches 48 to 57.
• T20 Format: 20-team, five groups of four, followed by Super 10 replacing Super 8, top 2 from each group advance, Eliminators determine remaining semi-finalists, second stage expands 8 to 10 to reduce dead-rubbers.
