 MoSPI Releases Quarterly Update of PAIMANA Dashboard

• Who: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.[MoSPI]
• What: Project Assessment, Infrastructure Monitoring & Analytics for Nation-building [PAIMANA] performance dashboard - standardized indicators for key infrastructure sectors. Quarterly update added 44 new indicators, total now 165.
• Sector-wise Performance FY26:
  • Civil Aviation: 98,920.10 tonnes cargo in April 2026 [+115% YoY], aerodromes doubled from 81 to 165.[2014][present]
  • Telecommunications: Wireless/mobile data consumption 2,85,376 PB during FY26 [+24.7% YoY], telephone subscribers 133.06 Cr [+10.7% YoY], tele-density 93.26% FY26.
  • Road, Transport & Highways: 9,360 km NH constructed FY26, electronic toll collection transactions 88 Cr [39.7% YoY] up to May 2026.
  • Railways: Avg carrying capacity of Broad Gauge wagons record 64.0 tonnes per wagon in 2024-25.
  • Power: Storage requirements to increase >10 times over next 10 years - from 87 GWh [2027-28] to 888 GWh [2035-36].
• UPSC Relevance: GS3 - Infrastructure, Data-driven governance.
