 MoHUA Approves Guidelines for PARIVARTAN Scheme

• Approved on: 16 July 2026 by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, MoHUA.
• Full Name: Programme for Accelerated Renewal and Incentivization of Vehicle Assets for Reducing Transport Air Pollution and Network Emissions.
• Aim: Replace old highly polluting trucks and buses operating in NCR with BS-VI-compliant or Electric Vehicles, supporting PM's vision of cleaner mobility and improved air quality in Delhi-NCR.[EVs]
• Background: Approved by Union Cabinet 3 June 2026 with total outlay Rs 9,585 Cr including Rs 5,041 Cr Central Govt support.
• Implementation: By Ministry of Road Transport and Highways through National Capital Region Planning Board [NCRPB].[MoRTH]
• Incentives: Motor Vehicle Tax concessions, registration fee waivers, 5% interest subvention, minimum 8% OEM discount, fuel vouchers, financial assistance for EV replacements.
