Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Takes Additional Charge as Education Minister

• Who: Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, Minister Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution and MNRE given additional charge as 10th Union Minister of Education following resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
• Reason: Dharmendra Pradhan submitted resignation taking moral responsibility for NEET-UG 2026 paper leak issue and nationwide student protests. Acting on advice of PM, President Droupadi Murmu accepted resignation under clause of Article 75 of Constitution at Kartavya Bhavan New Delhi.[2]
