• Who: Cochin Shipyard Ltd launched Machilipatnam Yard BY 529, 7th of 8 Mahe-class ASW Shallow Water Craft indigenously for Indian Navy at Cochin Shipyard Kerala.
• Launched by: Goolrukh Anand in presence of Vice Admiral Atul Anand, Additional Secretary DMA and Jose VJ, Director Finance and CMD Additional Charge CSL.
• Legacy: Named after historic port city Machilipatnam in Krishna district, AP, recognising rich maritime heritage, centuries-old trading hub eastern coastline.
• Design: Constructed by CSL Kochi, incorporates over 80% indigenous content, aligning with Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
