Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) signed an MoU with CSIR-IICT.

Objective

Develop indigenous, next-generation environmentally sustainable blowing-agent technology.

Importance

• Support advanced space applications
• Reduce dependence on imported fluorochemicals
• Strengthen strategic-material research
• Develop indigenous fluorochemical capability

Technical Point

CSIR-IICT will contribute expertise in:

• Fluorochemical synthesis
• Process development
• Safe handling of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (HF)

VSSC will provide:

• Application-specific requirements
• Technical evaluation
• Aerospace validation
