Indian Navy Receives Indigenous DSV Nipun

On 30 July 2026, the Indian Navy received Nipun, an indigenous Diving Support Vessel built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) at Visakhapatnam.

It has nearly 75% indigenous content.

The name Nipun means adept, capable and well-versed in a particular discipline.
