 Khelo India Scheme Expanded

The Union Cabinet approved an expanded Khelo India Scheme and enhanced Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSFs) with a combined outlay of ₹36,441 crore for FY 2026–27 to FY 2030–31.

The expanded ecosystem includes:

• National Centres of Excellence
• Khelo India Centres of Excellence
• SAI Training Centres
• Khelo India Accredited Academies
• Khelo India Centres
• Armed Forces Youth Sports Companies

New initiatives include Khelo India Feeder Schools (KIFS) and Khelo India Utkrishta Vidyalayas (KIUV). The Emerging Khelo India Athletes (E-KIAs) category has also been introduced.
