PM-SSY for Floating Solar Projects

The Cabinet approved ₹5,070 crore for the Pradhan Mantri Surya Sarovar Yojana (PM-SSY) for Floating Solar Photovoltaic projects with Energy Storage Systems.

The scheme targets 5,000 MW of floating solar capacity.

The storage requirement is a minimum of 2 hours, equivalent to 10,000 MWh.
