I4C Launches Two Cybercrime Portals

Why in News?

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) launched two new portals.

New Portals

• Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM)
• Money Restoration Module (MRM)

Objectives

GRM Portal

• Resolves complaints of frozen or lien-marked bank accounts.
• Helps account holders affected during cybercrime investigations.

MRM Portal

• Enables victims of cyber financial fraud to recover frozen or recovered money.

Key Points

• Integrated with National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP)
• Supports police, banks and cybercrime agencies.
• Linked with National Cyber Helpline 1930.
