History
Built during the Kakatiya period.
Associated with ruler Pratapa Rudra.
Originally known as Methuku Durgam.
Later used by the Qutb Shahis.
Architectural Features
The fort contains three important entrances:
Prathama Dwaram.
Simha Dwaram.
Gaja Dwaram.
It also contains:
Barracks.
Warehouses.
A small water body.
Historic cannon.
