• The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) plans to establish the National Coach Accreditation Board (NCAB).
• Recommendation came from a task force headed by Pullela Gopichand.
• Announced by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya during the 63rd Governing Body Meeting of SAI.
• NCAB will:
  • Set coaching standards
  • Approve coaching pathways
  • Accredit institutions
  • Promote long-term sustainability of sports coaching
• Proposed members include representatives from:
  • Indian Olympic Association
  • Sports Ministry
  • Eminent cross-ministerial expert
  • Academic/pedagogy expert
• A Two-stage Talent Scouting System (TSS) will help build a National Talent Repository (NTR).
• PPP and CSR participation will support sports academies.
