Land Stack

Category: Governance / Digital Public Infrastructure

  • Land Stack is an integrated, GIS-based digital framework for land administration.
  • It is being developed under the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP).
  • It integrates datasets such as:
    • Georeferenced cadastral maps
    • Records of Rights
    • Property registrations
    • Relevant court-related land information
  • The objective is to provide more transparent, interoperable and citizen-centric land services.
  • Pilot locations included Chandigarh and Tamil Nadu.
  • DILRMP 3.0 envisages State-level Land Stacks forming the building blocks of a federated National Land Stack.
