January 2026 Update

BRO conducted a high-altitude rescue and road restoration operation at Chatergala Pass at approximately 10,500 ft.

  • Around 38 km of road was cleared.

  • Heavy snowfall had disrupted the route.

  • Operation enabled evacuation of stranded civilians and troops.
