  • SOAR stands for Skilling for AI Readiness.
  • It is an initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
  • It aims to develop foundational AI awareness and skills among learners, educators and citizens.
  • Phase I included four courses:
    1. AI to Be Aware
    2. AI to Aspire
    3. AI to Acquire
    4. AI for Educators
  • Courses are delivered through the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH).
  • The programme uses online, self-paced learning and does not require physical vocational training centres.
  • Some courses are structured as NSQF-aligned micro-credentials under the National Credit Framework.
